Our children are paying attention. When we spill a drink our 3 year old will assure us that it will be okay.
I might be breaking all of the parenting rules by doing this, but sometimes when he is having a tantrum we go in his room and I will tell him affirmations. In the moment it doesn’t seem to be sinking in, but he will repeat what I said later.
Fathers should be able to bring down the temperature when things get hot. Most situations are as big of a deal as you make them
What a great reflection! I formerly read posts like this and felt melancholy, because my children are grown and living in far off places. So I always had a sense of regret and failure that I should have done more in their formative years to model Jesus better in their lives. But the wonderful realization I had recently is that I still have the opportunity to do that. We're not as physically close as we were when they were growing up in the same home, but I am amazed at how they reflect when I share my life today and the things I'm doing in this season to grow closer to Jesus. They're still watching! Thanks, Maury!

Thanks, Tom.
Thank you Maury! Lord let my actions speak louder than my words! I'm thinking maybe they are listening!
Thank you very much for your encouragement.
