What My Kids Teach Me About Discipleship
When I became a dad, I didn’t get an instruction manual. I got diapers, panic, and a deep conviction: these little souls were my first calling. Before any ministry role, blog post, or speaking gig—God handed me four tiny disciples. And like it or not, they’re watching every move I make.
Discipleship doesn’t start at church. It starts on a Tuesday night when someone spills a drink, someone else loses their cool, and you have a choice—react with tactics or respond with truth.
When Kevin Beasley asked me to write about what that looks like in real life, I jumped at the chance. This piece isn’t a list of “Ten Things Perfect Parents Do.” (Because if that’s the standard, I’d have to find another writer.) It’s about messy Tuesdays, small moments, and showing your kids that faith is more than a Sunday event.
